24.4.08 Windermere, Englanti, Välipäivä

Vietimme vapaapäivän Windermeressä, jossa sijaitsi Englannin suurin järvi. Jäässäkin se oli ollut sadan vuoden sisällä neljä kertaa. Tommy ja Henrik vuokrasivat pikku perätuupparin ja lähtivät järvelle ajelemaan. Paikka oli varsinainen turistirysä, ja keski-ikä oli noin 96v. No kyllä meillä hauskaa silti oli. Hotellin nimi oli joku MacDonalds, joka sopi kuvaamaan meidän ruokavaliota mainiosti. Käytiin kuitenkin syömässä pitsaa tällä kertaa, osteltiin vähän tuliaisia ja parit ”pilponaatit” hotellihuoneeseen. Viihdytimme itseämme katselemalla Rocky-elokuvia.

We spend our day off in a place called Windermere. They also got the biggest lake of England there. The lake had been frozen only four times during the past hundred years. Tommy and Henrik hired this tiny motor boat and went for a little drive. The place was packed with tourists and the average age was something like 96 years. Oh well, we had a good time still. The hotel we stayed on was called MacDonalds or something which suited well for our tour diet. Even though, this time we ended up eating some local pizza. We also got some souvenirs and a few cold ones. We amused ourselves by watching Rocky movies in the hotel room. Quite relaxing.
