Kavarna, Bulgaria

6.5.08 Kavarna, Bulgaria

Saavuimme hotellille aamusella. Keikkapaikalle siirryimme kuuden aikaan. Kyseessä oli ulkoilmakeikka paikallisella torilla. Kavarnan pormestari on kovan luokan hevidiggari. Hän on järjestänyt monien bändien keikkoja Kavarnaan.

Takahuoneena meillä oli paikallisen kirjaston johtajan työhuone. Teimme myös muutaman tv-haastattelun ennen keikkaa. Keikka oli hieno. Yleisössä leijui ”Sonata”-ilmalaivapallo. Fanit olivat silminnähden innoissaan keikasta, niinkuin mekin.

We arrived to the hotel early in the morning. The room was really nice with a nice ocean view. But there was no internet available in the room. Also the city center was couple of kilometers away. In the afternoon we had a lunch with the local promoter. There was a lot of local fish and meat. We drove to the venue around six. The gig was in a local market place, so it was out doors. The mayor of Kavarna is a really die hard metal fan. He has got a lot of metal bands to play there.

Our backstage was the local library´s chief´s office. We did also a few tv-interviews. The show was amazing. There was this cool “Sonata”-zeppelin balloon in the audience. The fans were thrilled and so were we. After the show we had some Jäger shots as usual and we also jammed with an old honky tonk piano. The mayor offered us a late dinner in a nearby restaurant. Then we had a couple of night caps at the hotel. Didn´t have to wait for the sleep to come.
