Travel Day

19.6.08 Matkustuspäivä

Olimme jo pikkutunneilla lähteneet ajamaan kohti Epsanjaa, jossa seuraava esiintymisemme oli tiedossa huomenna. Ajoimme Ranskan läpi, pysähdyttiin jossain huoltoasemalla noukkimassa patongit. Heti rajan yli päästyämme kurvasimme ensimmäisen ”Mäkiselle” nauttimaan ravitsevista Big Maceistä. ”BigMacBigMacBigMac....”

06/19/08 Travel Day

We started driving towards Spain, where our next performance was about to take place the next day. We drove through France and we only stopped to crab some baguettes from some gas station.. Straight after crossing the border we stopped to have a bite in a traditional Mc Donald´s restaurant. There was also a huge auto market so we bought some refreshments and little snacks to the bus. Henrik found these really cute shoes so he just had to buy them. They looked really nice on him… In the evening we arrived to Bilbao. We had a shower room in some hotel. Late night we drove to the hills near Bilbao where the Festival took place. There was a near bar and we went there for a night cap. There was this table soccer game. I was the best scorer of that game…Oh well, I must confess that I have a little table soccer at home…so that´s why I am so good. Our sound engineer Ahti has the real thing in his studio, so to our luck Ahti wasn´t there to play. He can beat everyone with one hand, hate to admit it…

Hahah, lovely shoes! ;) In catalonia we have some tradicional shoes (called "espardenyes") which almost look like Herik's ones.

So as I can see, you were in "cervecería Cobetas"... I'm not an expert of Bilbao, but that's what you found on google maps when you try to find that hill where the festival took place lol

Well, keep on practicing and some day you'll manage to win Ahti in that table soccer game.
