Barcelona

17.11.07 Barcelona

Saavuttiin Barcelonaan puolenpäivän aikaan. Kirjoittelin takahuoneessa blogiin. Keikkapaikan nettiyhteys oli tosi hidas. Tai sitten se oli vaan ylikuormitettu. Kolme bändiä ja henkilökunta päälle ja melkein kailla omat laptopit. Olit tosi hidasta/ välillä mahdotonta uploadata kuvia tänne blogiin. Soundcheckissä soiteltiin sellaista limaista Bon Jovi-tyylistä improvisaatio balladia. Siitä tuli kyllä tosi hyvä kasaribiisi kaikkine kliseineen. No siinä kuuden aikaan alkoi olla ruoka-aika.

No niin. Nyt kun on tilitetty, päästään asiaan. Tony teki paikalliseen heavyradioon haastattelun. Sitten se mimmi halus kysellä multakin jotain, joten kävin vastailemassa pariin kysymykseen itsekin.

Keikka meni nappiin. Kyllä täällä Espanjassakin vaan on bändillä faneja. Tällä kertaa siinä luki: ”Thank You”. Jopa ihailtavaa.

11/17/07 Barcelona

We were in Barcelona around 12. I wrote to my blog at the backstage. The internet connection of the venue was really slow. Or overloaded or something. You know, 3 bands and a crew and almost everybody has a laptop. It was very hard to upload the pictures to my blog. Occationally even not possible. At the soundcheck we played this totally improvised Bon Jovi style hard rock ballad. It turned out to be very good! It was time to eat at six. The guys were coming back to the backstage with their plates..There seemed to be somekind of home-style fries and chicken and/or fish. Everyone had 3 slices of those potatoes, the fish was cold and I don´t even want to know about the chicken. We decided to go to this traditional restaurant with Henrik and Ehu (guitar technician). We found Mc Donalds after 15 minutes of walk... We had to order some food to the others as well, we found out the food was out at the venue..

Ok now, back to business. Tony did this interview for a local radio. The lady wanted to ask a couple of questions from me also.

The show was brilliant again. There´s a lot of fans here in Spain too! There was a funny guy in a front row. He had a paper and he had wrote on it: “Please give me a pick”. I just nodded to him while I was playing that: “yes I will but right now I´m a little bit busy playing this song”. At some point I throwed a pick for him. He had his back bag open so I´m not sure but I think the pick went straight to his bag. Then after a while he was holding this piece of paper again. This time it said: “Thank You”. I don´t know, but to me it was quite funny. I appreciated it very much.

Spain rocks!

Eliaaas! Yeah, I was there and the only thing I can say is: what an amazing concert!! :) It was my first Sonata concert and the experience was amazing. The big pity is that I'm sooo small and I hardly could see something between the crowd, but anyway, you guys rocked!
I wanted to wait for you after the concert, but my mum was tired (yeah, haha, he was there too ;) ), so we went home :(
Hope to see you soon! ^^

By the way, cool new pic.

You did it veeeery good. We hope you come back soon, we were really surprised with the setlist. A perfect selection, despite a little detail. Take in mind that Barcelona needs some Wolf & Raven. You definitely conviced us, you rock Elias. Very good playing!

What happened to Tony? We were shocked about the "we will rock you" joke. I was thinking that I knew that but I did not contextualitzate it at the beginning. AHHAHAHA But also amazing.

While waiting, we'll be over-using the CD player to listen to Sonata Arctica :-D
See you!
